The International College is 100% boarding and therefore, as well as having a a determination to ensure that all students reach their academic potential, it also has the time to provide opportunities for other pursuits.
All students in years 7 - 10 have a weekly activities session where they can attempt to both learn new skills and relax.
Such activities often include the possibility to take horse-riding, arts and crafts, golf, cookery and a host of other activities.
Students in year 11 also have the opportunity to enjoy a weekly extra-curricular activity which we feel is very important even though their focus must be on examination success.
These formal activities sessions are in addition to the opportunities that can be provided more easily for a student in a boarding community both during the week and at the weekend.
We very much believe that the International College is a family school and we work hard to make every student feel like a well repected member of that family.
