Visiting the college

We are always pleased to welcome parents, guardians, agents, old scholars and other friends of the International College. Please let us know if you wish to visit so we can arrange to provide you with the attention you deserve.
For those of you who are not familair with our location, the following information will hopefully be of value.

Air travel:

Local airports, including Exeter and Bristol sometimes provide entry points to the UK which are about 1 hour away from Sherborne by car. The main airports however are London Heathrow (2 hours away by car) and London Gatwick (two and a half hours away).

By Train:

Sherborne Station is on a direct rail line from London Waterloo Station (Exeter St Davids train). The journey takes approximately 2 hours. Taxis are available at the station.

Trains from Waterloo often divide at Salisbury and it is essential to travel in the front three carriages.

Rail/Air link from Heathrow:

Coaches operate every half hour (9am-7pm) between Heathrow airport and Woking railway station to connect with train services to Sherborne.

By Road:

From London

By Car (approximately 2½ hours)

From the centre of London follow the signs to the M3 Motorway. Join the M3 and continue on the motorway until the junction with the A303 (Junction 8, direction Andover). Take the A303 and stay on it until the sign which reads Blandford, Wincanton and Sherborne. From that point follow the signs for Sherborne. At the first set of traffic lights in Sherborne turn right onto the A30 and follow the road down the hill. At the next set of traffic lights turn right which is signposted to Marston Magna (B3148). Immediately on you right you will see the International College. Please go down the drive and report to Reception which is situated on your right. Parking is usually available. If not, the College has an area for parking immediately on your right as you enter the site.

From London Heathrow

Take the M25 Motorway South, continue on this road to the M3 Junction (Junction 12). Join the M3 and follow the above instructions.

From Southampton/Portsmouth/Chichester

Take the A36 from Southampton to Salisbury following directions to the A303. Then proceed as from London.

From South Wales And Bristol

Take the A37 from Bristol to Shepton Mallet, then the A371 to Castle Cary and Wincanton and finally the B3145 to Sherborne.

From The West Ccountry

Either M5 to Taunton (Exit 25), then the A358 to the A303 and finally A3088 to Yeovil, or A30 to the A303, then the A3088 to Yeovil. From Yeovil, take the A30 dual carriageway to Sherborne.
